At JANDED, we aim to bridge the fashion gap between Africa and the Diaspora.

Chi-Chi's first encounter of contemporary fashion made in Africa was at University College London where she studied Biomedical Sciences and was a member of her African Carribean Society (ACS).

One day she was casually asked to model as part of the yearly ACS Show.It was such an eye opener for her as she fell in love with all the colourful prints and even more with her African Heritage. In 2010 during her first year of Dental School she co-founded the ACS and spearheaded its’ fashion show captured by the local Press. ACS won Best New Society that year.

Fast forward to 2014, she won the face of Africa Fashion week London having volunteered for AFWL 2 years before in the Press team.Chi-Chi has now created her own brand called Clara & Violet which is launching with its line of African-inspired accessories COMING SOON.

Her ultimate goal is to see more people wearing fashion made in or inspired by Africa.
